Experiencing Edam from the water is one of the best ways to see the city in a new light. It is the most beautifull way of exploring this historical city (a conservation area). A one-hour round trip through the canals (in Edam called harbours) in a traditional "cow-boat or praam" past impressive houses with clock gables, spout gables, cheese warehouses and bridges. All different facets are discussed during the cruise.
The boat ( photo) is available at request via the Tourist Information Office and operates from mid April until the end of September .
During the tour, guests have a choice of 4 different languages: Dutch, English, German and French, explaining the different places of interest en-route.
